Mark Buehrle (I had to actually look up the spelling of his name) pitched a perfect game today, only the 16th modern perfect game in major league history. And, coming as it does off that no-hitter by the San Francisco Giants just before the break begs the question.
Is pitching back in baseball in the post-steroid era?
With Big Papi almost going 0 for April, home runs being down (except in the new Yankee Stadium) and now a perfect game, it seems like the league is returning to its small-ball roots. And I, for one, welcome this change. Bring on the goose eggs!
